Description:We are a local subsidiary of an international organization and we are inviting qualified, dynamic, energetic and results-oriented individuals to join our team in the position of Safety Advisor. Serving as Staff Specialist in safety by developing and executing policies and procedures with the line organization, that build safety culture and effectively control incidents and accidents.

The core job functions will include:

• Acting as advisor and effective liaison to all department heads and their teams in the area of safety
• Assist line management to understand OSHA regulations and standards,including guidance in handling compliance, inspections and citations
• Guide and assist line personnel with critical safety problems and advise on developing solutions
• Evaluate hazardous conditions and practices and develop hazard control practice sand programmes
• Assist in communicating hazard control information and evaluate effectiveness of the controls
• Lead the investigation of all incidents and accidents
• Develop and implement programmes to encourage and create a high level of safety awareness within the organization

Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree required (preferably in EnvironmentalHealth and Safety)
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Safety Administration in an industrialenvironment at a management level
• Knowledge of OSHA standards with regard to safety
• Effective communication and people management skills
• Ability to train, influence and motivate team members
• Specialized Training/Certifications in hazard management and related areas.
