Rockfort Mineral Bath
Rockfort Mineral Bath
Rockfort Mineral Bath is one of the oldest public facilities in Kingston. This quiet and delightful facility is situated on the eastern edge of the city on the main approach from the airport. The bath is perfect for both individual and group activities with the lawn providing the perfect location for picnics. Visitors from all over come to experience its invigorating waters, cozy garden setting and its friendly customer service. The therapeutic property of the mineral-rich waters flow from the rockfort hills.
Rockfort Mineral Bath is believed to have surfaced after the powerful 1907 earthquake and is believed to be highly mineralized. Mineral Springs are naturally occurring springs that produce water containing minerals or other dissolved substances that alter its taste or give it therapeutic value. The Rockfort Mineral Bath is a declared national monument since February 6, 1992.
