ADA to host AutoCircuit

NEW-CAR umbrella group Automobile Dealers’ Association of Jamaica (ADA) will be hosting a four-day motorshow dubbed AutoCircuit in the Corporate Area from March 9 – 12.

Long-time ADA chairman Kent LaCroix shared the details with the Jamaica Observer’s Auto magazine at its launch held at the Spanish Court Hotel in New Kingston yesterday.

“This unique four-day auto experience will feature five of Jamaica’s top automobile dealers in seven locations showcasing more than a dozen brands, with vehicles ranging from economy to luxury with a generous splash of utility in the middle,” said LaCroix.

The participating dealers are: Toyota Jamaica (Toyota and Hino); Fidelity Motors (Nissan); Kingston Industrial Garage (KIG) (Subaru, JEEP, Yamaha, and Ford); Stewart Motors (Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Land Rover, Suzuki, and Mitsubishi); and Magna Motors (Hyundai).

The chairman said the AutoCircuit will follow a path, much like a race-car circuit, connecting the five participating dealerships.“So over the four days, customers are invited to pick up their AutoCircuit “passports” at their first stop, whichever is nearest and most convenient dealer location closest to them. Each ADA Passport contains coupons with combined discounts values of over $20 million dollars. In addition, each passport will entitle one customer to some additional surprise offers if they test-drive at least one vehicle at each of the five dealerships or purchase a car from any one dealership between March 9 and 12,” said LaCroix.

“We anticipate that this will be a really great event and we hope to make the AutoCircuit an annual or a biennial staple.”

Judith Denton, sales and marketing manager for KIG, is encouraging prospective clients to come visit her Spanish Town Road showroom for great deals.

“We’ll have new and exciting models on display … we’ll have the American muscle car, Ford Mustang, in right-hand drive. We’ll also have the all-new Ford Edge, The Explorer and Everest. For Subaru, there’ll be BRG, the new Legacy, Outback, Forester, XV, and WRX STI. We’ll be rolling the new JEEP Wrangler, the Grand Cherokee, Renegade, and presenting the Grand Cherokee STR, the performance variant,” she said.

“In addition to deals from our passport summer picks, any model from any brand will get an additional $100,000 off any purchase.”

Fidelity Motors’ marketing officer David Crawford was upbeat about his company’s offerings for AutoCircuit.

“Visitors to Fidelity Motors’ showroom should expect some spectacular deals, especially on the 4×4 (Nissan) X Trail… Our staff will be willing and ready to take them for a test drive,” said Crawford.

Fidelity Motors is located on 5-18 Hanover St in downtown Kingston.

The ADA last hosted a motorshow in November 2014 with 16 new-car dealers.
