The first RadioShack store in Jamaica will open soon at the Bargain Centre Mall in Mandeville, Manchester as part of Unicomer Jamaica’s network of retail stores.

The company also operates the Courts, Lucky Dollar, Courts Optical, Courts Ready Cash and Ashley Home Store.

The Unicomer Group recently opened six similar RadioShack stores in Trinidad, Barbados and Guyana, according to a release from the company.

On April 15, 2015, Unicomer’s parent company, Regal Forest Holdings acquired the brand and franchising rights, intellectual property and existing contracts for RadioShack stores in Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

Currently, Unicomer owns and operates 75 RadioShack stores in Curacao, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Trinidad, Barbados and Guyana, Unicomer said.

In addition, Unicomer, through its global franchise unit, manages business relations with authorized RadioShack franchises that collectively operate 171 licensed franchised stores in Antigua, Costa Rica, Haiti, Paraguay and Peru.

The new RadioShack stores provide innovative solutions to consumer’s everyday technological needs and a unique and interactive shopping experience, the release said.

The range of products available at RadioShack stores include Bluetooth speakers and transmitters, notebook computers, tablets, power banks, headphones, android boxes and fitness trackers. The chain also offers financing plans to its customers.
